Our Story
Sawyer Highlands Church had simple beginnings in 1952,
but as it grew, it became known as a place of worship for all ages, with a vibrant youth ministry, a missions program, and a God-centered vision of life. From the earliest days, learning what the Bible has to say about God and his people has been at the center of its mission.
In 2012, the church launched a second campus in New Buffalo, Converge Community Church.
“We chose the name Converge because it demonstrates what we have experienced in the Gospel,” says Lead Pastor Jeff Dryden." In the church people from all kinds of backgrounds "converge" to become one spiritual family." Sunday services are at 10 a.m. in Sawyer and 11 a.m. in New Buffalo.
Converge and Sawyer Highlands are part of a larger movement of churches called Converge Worldwide. Our mission is to help people meet, know, and follow Jesus. We hope you will join us on that mission.
