Jeff has been a pastor at Sawyer Highlands Church for 30 years, serving in various roles (youth pastor, missionary to Romania, and pastor of small groups). For the last 17 years he has served as lead pastor through teaching, counseling and discipling. He has been a part of training, strengthening, and birthing local churches here in Michigan and around the world. His passion is to know God, and make Him known.
Jeff and Cindy have 6 great kids (some married, some not, some still at home). For fun he enjoys long walks with Cindy, camping, kayaking, playing basketball and anything outdoors.
Mike BettigConverge Community Church Campus Pastor
Mike Bettig is a graduate from Moody Bible Institute, is currently studying at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and has served Sawyer Highlands Church for 7 years. He is happily married to Cara Bettig and they have 5 beautiful young children; Aiden, Grace, Evy, Violet, and Miki. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading about history, and playing disc golf.
Favorite book? (besides the Bible) Pilgrims Progress, Anything from Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes)
Favorite Local Restaurant? Rio’s in New Buffalo, Asian Grill in Benton Harbor
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go? Any place warm and tropical. Preferably on a cruise ship.

Rob NashCampus Pastor
Rob grew up in Minnesota and went to school at Wheaton College in Illinois. He received his Master of Divinity degree at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Education has been an important part of his journey of faith, but he believes that people are more important.
His favorite people are his family. Rob has a wife and six kids that are full of energy and keep them moving. They enjoy the Lake, friends, family and the church.
He enjoys running, reading, cooking, and coaching soccer.
He has been in ministry for a number of years in a variety of settings. Currently, he oversees Life Group Ministry, Missions, Adult Education, and Benevolence. He helps manage the administrative staff and communication of the church. He also preaches, teaches, and counsels as needed.

Joe KoehlerYouth Minister
Joe has Michigan in his blood, having been born and raised in Berrien county. He graduated from Cornerstone University in 2016 with his BA, and soon after spent a year teaching 5th and 6th grade students in a Christian school in Benton Harbor, MI. His passion to see youth know and savor Jesus Christ next led him to care for and minister to the youth at this church, a church he has long attended. He has been married to his wife, Kella, for two years and together they have taken in multiple foster children berthed from a desire to extend the love of Jesus to those that cannot help themselves.
Joe enjoys most every sport, but especially hockey and tennis. He is always looking for books to read (especially Christian biography!), opportunities to take students out for a Coca-Cola and spending time with Kella going on walks or working on house projects!
