A People Meant for God

God Dwelt Among Us

Pray for grace through application of God’s word

Review the message notes

  1. Read 2 Tim 2:8 and Hebrews 12:1-4.

  2. How do we see Jesus today?

  3. Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promises. What does that tell you about God?

  4. Jesus modeled a life with God. What practices do you remember Jesus exhibiting?

  5. Dallas Willard has said,  “My central claim is that we can become like Christ by doing one thing—by following him in the overall style of life he chose for himself. If we have faith in Christ, we must believe that he knew how to live. We can, through faith and grace, become like Christ by practicing the types of activities he engaged in, by arranging our whole lives around the activities he himself practiced in order to remain constantly at home in the fellowship of his Father…Such things as solitude and silence, prayer, simple and sacrificial living, intense study and meditation upon God’s Word and God’s ways, and service to others. Some of these will certainly be more necessary to us than they were to him….” Spirit of the Disciplines: Understanding How God Changes Lives.

    1. In what ways can we grow in the practices of Jesus to strengthen our relationship with our heavenly Father this week?

  6. Jesus gives us a great commission in the gospels. How does your mission in life reflect Jesus’ mission he gives his followers?
